Roll-A-Picasso

Roll-A-Picasso

Last week we were making Roll-A-Picasso art. What you need to do is get a sheet of wacky face shapes and you roll a dice and if it lands on six let's just say you have 2 choices. We had about 10 minutes to get all our face designs. Then we drafted it. Mrs Cutler cut up some squares and gave us a piece of A4 paper and we had to draft out our heads for our Roll-A-Picasso. Then we had to draw our face designs on the squares and we glued them on wacky like but still so you can see the face.We moved on to our good art a day after and we had to draw the exact same thing just bigger and we couldn't use the square shapes. After that we moved on to pastel where it was really tricky because pastel marks everything we had to use bold and blended colours so it would come out like this.

Landmarks

We are learning about  different landmarks around the world for literacy. This morning Mrs Cutler set out a task for us to go on google earth and search for different landmarks the landmarks were Great wall of China, Milford sound, Times square, Big Ben, Tower of London, The White house and Buckingham palace. My friends and I choose The White house and we found out that it was humongous.

The place that I would really like to visit is Paris because of the pretty views, and sunsets so colourful and bright like you've never seen. The wonderful restaurants especially the one in the Eiffel tower but the one place I would really like to visit there is the largest garden in Paris that is in front of the Eiffel tower.

Landmarks

This week we've been learning about famous landmarks Mrs Cutler put some landmarks on the board and we had to choose what we wanted the chooses were Eiffel tower, Taj Mahal, Sky tower, Buckingham palace, The leaning tower of piza, Empire state building, Colosseum, The white house, Great pyramid of Giza, Sydney Oprea House, and Statue of liberty and as you can see I choose Taj Mahal because I didn't know much about it and that's what we're supposed so if you don't get it your supposed to find a place you don't know and find information about it.

What is an information report

An information report is something that you use to write about other people 2 weeks ago we were learning about the famous people on the NZ money notes there was Sir Edmund Hillary, Kate Sheppered, Queen NZ money notes now the information report that my class and I did was about Sir Edmund Hillary he was the first person to climb Mont Everest the things we had to write down was his early life, name, date of birth, date of death, siblings, parents names and date of birth and death, other interesting facts that you don't have , and also why your person is on that note. So once you've got all those down you need to put them in order so name, dates, siblings and parents, early life, what they did and then other interesting facts. And that's how you make an information report

200$ creations

Today in class we made 200$ with all our own designs the famous person that I put on mine was Jacinda Ardern  because Jacinda Kate Laurell Ardern is a New Zealand politician serving since 26 October 2017 as the 40th Prime Minister of New Zealand. She has also served as the Leader of the Labour Party since 1 August 2017. The bird that I choose was a Chatham Islands black robin they are a New Zealand bird that are threatened by predation and disease. What I choose for the place background was Hamilton gardens because Jacinda is from Hamilton and she moves around a lot so I just choose something simple that I bet she likes .
